When school opens on August 5, we will be operating on a four day week (Monday through Thursday from 8:00-4:30).
Here are some of our reasons:
- Reduce driving time since some are driving long distances to and from school
- Give families longer weekends if they want to plan an outing
- Make doctors visits easier without missing school
- Enable working parents to pick children up later in the day instead of at 3:00 pm
The school will be having lots of hands on learning and outdoor exercise, so the students will be kept engaged and active.
This is an option that is approved by the Georgia-Cumberland Conference Office of Education.
